From the start it was clear that police presence was a lot bigger than the last one I attended, with police coming from as far as Wales, Merseyside and Northumbria which was surprising as I suspected that mutual aid would take place, but I thought that it would just be City of London Police, the Metropolitain Police and the British Transport Police (who all did attend). This protest was a lot more peaceful, with minor clashes here and there, but thanks to the heavy police presence they got squashed quickly. There was also a lot more press than last time with police often asking to see mine and others press passes. There was also a very heavy presence of "security" from stand up to racism which I found caused more harm than good with it being seen as an almost a vigilante group by many protesters.
