Here are my photos of the London "Great British National Strike", an overall peaceful protest despite a couple of characters making themselves look bad, including one who called me a "Starmer supporter" and another who spoke about wanting to abolish parliament. However, what topped the cake for me in terms of quotes was the fact that one protester muttered to another "they're not welcome here" in relation to a group of black protesters who turned up on their side. With these anti immigration/anti government demonstrations I understand the point of view they are coming from, they got screwed over by the Conservatives and now Labour, so I understand why they "want Reform". However, given the fact Nigel Farage has made his thoughts clear on screwing over the working class man by abolishing the NHS among other things. With the abolishment of the NHS alone that will quite possibly kill hundreds if not thousands of Reform UK voters who often come from very disadvantaged backgrounds who would not be able to afford private healthcare. However, I again think that a lot of the reason Reform and protests like this continue to grow is the fact a lot of people either dislike or fear "illegal" immigrants. They see it as the reason they are still "poor" and not the fact that over the past fourteen years the Conservatives and Labour have given billions of pounds in tax breaks to the mega wealthy while doing austerity cuts.
