July 19th - Defend Our Juries Demo, Parliament Square
Here are my photos from a demonstration in Parliament Square in London. This demonstration saw people hold signs that said "I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action" which is now illegal under the terrorism act. This led to the Metropolitan police making 55 arrests (at the time of writing) under such act. The protest started dead on 1pm and had finished by 2pm with the police taking less time on arrests and this time not running out of vans like the week before. Despite the arrests that took place there were no acts of violence or clashes with police at all throughout (or at least while I was in attendance however there were arguments with counter protesters.
