May 31st - Youth Demand Demo, Lambeth

Here are my photos of the thirty minute disruption outside of Lambeth North. Youth Demand blocked the junction of the B300 and A302 for a little over thirty minutes. In that time there was small amounts of shoving by disgruntled drivers but overall it was very peaceful. Two things of note about this demo, the first is the pictures of the little girl who was watching on from near the start and then decided to join in. She chanted with the group through a mega phone and then got given a keffiyeh and a scarf by two of the protesters. The second thing of note was as the group was dispersing after the thirty minutes had passed I got hit by a cyclist who had ran a red and was told by an officer that it was "my fault for being in the road" which I found amusing.
